How Much Does CNC-Cut Campervan Furniture Cost? What Drives the Price

Prices differ by country and by shop, so there is no single number. These are the things that decide your quote.

Plywood is usually the largest cost

A kitchen module of our size uses two sheets of 15 mm plywood and one sheet of 6 mm. Plywood grade, brand and region change the price more than anything else. Ask the shop for a quote with their material and with yours.

Machine time

Shops charge by the sheet or by the hour. Complex parts with many pockets take longer than simple panels. A well-nested sheet that uses the plywood efficiently saves both time and material.

Setup and file handling

Some shops add a setup fee. Clean, correctly scaled files reduce this, because the shop does not have to repair or redraw anything.

Finishing and hardware

Sanding, oil, lacquer, drawer slides, hinges, screws and the worktop come on top. Our plans list the hardware with quantities so that you can price it before you start.

How to compare quotes

Ask each shop for the price per sheet, the plywood used and the estimated lead time. Compare like with like. A cheaper quote with thinner plywood is not cheaper.

Compared with building from scratch

Cutting by hand takes time and tools you may not have. CNC costs money, but you save days of work and avoid cutting mistakes. You also keep the plans, so a second van or a replacement part costs only the cutting.
